Sorting Waste is required by State Mandate SB1383

Beginning in January 2022, SB1383 requires all residents and businesses to have all recyclables and organic materials be sorted out from the trash and placed in correct bins.

The intent under the new state law SB1383 is a statewide effort to reduce emissions of short lived climate pollutants (SLCP)

Effective January 1st, 2022 -Each residence will receive 3 carts for each waste stream­ Trash, Recycle, Organics. All trash and Organ­ics carts will be serviced weekly. All Recycle carts will be serviced every other week.

If you request any additional carts, they can be provided at an additional cost per waste stream. To make changes, you are welcome to call our Billing Department after January 1st at 209-537-8000, press option 3.

New Schedules and Maps

All Recycle services will be every other week

Place your carts out on the street the night before your pick-up day. All carts must be 3 feet apart from each cart and other objects or structures. The lid must be closed and lid facing the street. Holidays observed: Christmas, New Year’s, 4th of July & Thanksgiving.
If your service day falls on the holiday all pick-ups will be delayed one day later.
